Help Conquer Cancer! Lisa is participating in the MM5K Walk on Oct 18th in Toronto to benefit the Molly and David Bloom Chair for Multiple Myeloma Research at Princess Margaret Hospital.
she say " I am participating in the 5K Your Way Walk/Run to raise funds for the Princess Margaret Hospital. As you may know, I was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. It a relatively rare cancer of the bone marrow, so far 'incurable' and most other 'Members' of this club are diagnosed in their 60's. As a junior member, I've taken it upon myself to write about my adventures (www.lisaraniray.wordpress.com) as I travel towards FULL REMISSION. My co-conspirator in this mission, Princess Margaret, is not only the source of my treatment, sanity and comfort but a place where I have a good laugh. The sandwiches downstairs are not bad either.
Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) is one of the top 5 comprehensive cancer research hospitals in the world. This year, Princess Margaret will establish the first Multiple Myeloma Research chair in Canada.
